Pioneer Place Nursing Home has been a part of the health care community in Malheur County for generations. Offering a clean and modern air-conditioned facility with individual room climate controls, Pioneer Place provides quality care for residents and short-term patients as well as a great work environment for its employees. Our beautifully landscaped grounds include an enclosed courtyard with patio for outside activities and visits.

If you have suffered and accident, injury, illness, recent surgery or stroke, Pioneer Place Nursing and Rehabilitation offers skilled nursing care and rehabilitative therapies that will help you return home safely.

Nursing Home Services and Amenities Include:

  • Skilled Licensed Nursing services such as wound care and I.V. therapies.
  • Rehab therapies: Physical, Occupational and Speech.
  • Virtual rehabilitation using the OmniVR system.
  • Certified Nursing Assistants.
  • Licensed nurses and CNA’s are on-duty 24 hours per day, seven days per week.
  • CNA to patient staffing ratios exceed Oregon minimum mandatory requirements.
  • Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation (FEES) : A swallowing evaluation for dysphagia patients designed to assist Speech therapists for treating patients at risk for choking or aspiration.
  • Each resident room is equipped with individual heating and air conditioning units.
  • Private and semi-private rooms with toilet and sink.
  • Medicare and Medicaid certified.
  • Planned activity calendar
  • "Air Spa" bathing tub with bath aide.
  • Our Medical Director is Dr. John H. Phillips
  • Registered Dietitian consultant oversight of therapeutic diets and diet plans.
  • Phone and television in every patient/resident room.
  • Criminal Background and pre-employment drug-screening is required on all employees.

 

If you or a loved one is hospitalized after an injury or illness and your physician recommends a short-term nursing home stay, ask your case manager to refer your needs to Pioneer Place. Our average length of stay for Medicare patients is two to three weeks in most cases.
